NON-ALIGNED MOVEMENT CENTRE FOR SOUTH-SOUTH TECHNICAL COOPERATION(NAM CSSTC) Non-Aligned Movement Centre for South-South Technical Cooperation (NAM CSSTC) was established in 1995 on the initiative of the Government of Indonesia and the Government of Brunei Darussalam at the eleventh Summit of NAM held in Cartagena, Colombia, as one of the vital and effective means for promoting and accelerating development in the developing countries. The function of NAM CSSTC is a centre for action and pooling resources as well as a forum for dialogue to attain the development objectives of both NAM member and non-member countries. VISION Strengthen national capacities and collective self-reliance of developing countries. MISSION Contribute to the acceleration and enhancement of national development by strengthening and expanding South-South technical cooperation in the context of international development cooperation. GOAL Enhance capacity building to achieve the development goals of NAM member countries in attaining sustained people-centred development and to enable developing countries to participate more actively and equally in the process of globalization. OBJECTIVE Enhance the collective self-reliance of developing countries in attaining sustained people-centred economic and social development and to enable developing countries to become equal partners in international relations. PROGRAMME ACTIVITIES Focused on direct and long term benefits to render the economy of NAM member countries to be more broad-based, efficient and resilient, towards sustainable and equitable development. Support poverty eradication; the development of microfinance, small and medium enterprises, information and communication technology, health, agriculture, environment including disaster risk management, public-private partnership, international trade, as well as good public and private governance.
