NAM CSSTC Joins the Inaugural Session of ICC Youth Empowerment Program 2025

On 14 May 2025, the NAM Centre for South-South Technical Cooperation (NAM CSSTC) proudly participated in the Inaugural Session of the ICC Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) 2025, convened by the International Coconut Community (ICC). The YEP, now in its second year, is a flagship initiative designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders and innovators in the global coconut sector through capacity building, knowledge exchange, and technical training.
As a strategic partner and sponsor of the program, NAM CSSTC reaffirmed its commitment to advancing South-South Cooperation through youth development. In his remarks, the Director of NAM CSSTC emphasized that the launch of YEP 2025 goes beyond technical training — it signifies a critical investment in human capital and a long-term vision to equip young professionals with the tools, mentorship, and global networks needed to lead the transformation of the agricultural and agro-industrial landscape in developing countries.
The program embodies the spirit of solidarity among Global South nations, promoting reciprocal learning, joint innovation, and sustainable development practices. Through this collaborative framework with ICC, NAM CSSTC continues to support the creation of an inclusive and resilient coconut industry — one that not only contributes to food security and rural livelihoods, but also positions youth as key stakeholders in shaping climate-smart and future-ready agricultural systems.
