NAM CSSTC Collaborates with Universitas Gadjah Mada in the 8th International Energy Conference ASTECHNOVA 2025
On 8–9 October 2025, the Non-Aligned Movement Centre for South-South Technical Cooperation (NAM CSSTC) collaborated with Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in organizing the 8th International Energy Conference ASTECHNOVA 2025, hosted by the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics (DTNTF), Faculty of Engineering, UGM, in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
This year’s conference carried the theme “Beyond Net Zero: Pathways to Climate Positive Energy Systems,” aiming to explore innovative approaches and strategies for transitioning toward energy systems that not only achieve carbon neutrality but also generate positive impacts on the global climate.
As part of the opening ceremony, H.E. Ambassador Diar Nurbintoro, Director of NAM CSSTC, delivered an opening speech, highlighting the pivotal role of South-South and Triangular Cooperation in strengthening innovation, research collaboration, and knowledge exchange among developing countries to advance sustainable and equitable energy transitions.
At the closing ceremony, NAM CSSTC had the honour of presenting the Best Paper Award, recognizing exceptional research contributions that align with the conference’s vision for climate-positive and sustainable energy solutions.
NAM CSSTC’s collaboration with Universitas Gadjah Mada in ASTECHNOVA 2025 reaffirms its commitment to promoting scientific partnerships, sustainable innovation, and South-South knowledge exchange, contributing to global efforts in achieving a cleaner and more resilient energy future.
