Successful Completion of Coconut Development Course
The NAM Centre for South-South Technical Cooperation (NAM CSSTC) has joyfully announced the successful completion of the International Certificate Course for Coconut Development Officers, which took place from June 18 to July 4, 2023, in Lunuwila, Sri Lanka. This sponsored-program sought to empower professionals from Indonesia and New Caledonia within the coconut industry while promoting sustainable agricultural practices. The accomplishment of this sponsored initiative marks a remarkable milestone for all participants, showcasing the strong alignment between NAM CSSTC’s commitment and the program’s objectives.
The International Certificate Course for Coconut Development Officers held immense significance as it provided participants with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the coconut industry. The comprehensive curriculum covered various crucial topics, including coconut cultivation techniques, pest and disease management, value-added product development, and marketing strategies. The program was facilitated by experienced experts from International Coconut Community and Coconut Research Institute of Sri Lanka, utilizing a hands-on and interactive teaching approach.
